Softball 2016

The fledging Girls Softball Team in ACJC has come a long way in a quick time to achieve many firsts for ACJC.  ACJC’s very first Softball Girls team, was started in 2011, with a modest group of 7 JC2 students as founding members, struggling with the task of getting equipment, finding a coach, and recruiting new JC1 members. Despite these challenges, ACJC Softballers did the College proud, rising to become champions in the 2015 season.
As the 2016 season drew near, our softball girls trained hard to retain their position as champions. During the A division National Schools Championships, as each match progressed, the team held together and persevered despite many ups and downs in the games to defeat all 5 JC teams in the preliminary round. The team met River Valley High School in the finals and despite giving it their all, the team lost narrowly emerging as 1st runners up.
The team has truly come a long way in such a short time, by the grace of God and through His many blessings in the form of coaches, teachers, supporters, resources and His continued guidance and protection of all the players. We thank Him for giving the team this wonderful experience. As the team grows from strength to strength, the College hopes that the players will use this experience to build themselves into stronger people, and pass this tenacity on to enrich others around them.
