"Visiting the research institutes of A*STAR, I gained an enlightening insight on the research scene in Singapore. During one of the many tours conducted, my peers and I had the privilege to visit the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology's Zebrafish Facility. During the tour, we learned about how researchers have been using zebrafish for research on genetic engineering, producing transparent and even glow-in-the-dark zebrafish. Having seen the many interesting projects A*STAR has been working on, my interest in the Sciences and research has definitely further piqued. Additionally, I have developed a deeper appreciation for the research industry and its contribution to the Singaporean economy. Overall, the entire experience was undeniably an enriching one."
