ACSian Theatre goes to Jakarta

On the 12th to the 15th of March, ACSian Theatre journeyed to Jakarta, Indonesia for a short Values in Action Project with ACS Jakarta, a member of the ACS Family. During our time there, we conducted dance workshops that were led by our resident choreographer Gerard Sebastian Raj. The workshops were conducted for members of the dance society in both junior and senior schools at ACS Jakarta.
The sessions were very enjoyable as we had games infused within warmups to get us all acquainted with one another. Afterwards, we began learning the choreography for our joint performance planned for the last day of our visit. We were also given the wonderful opportunity of working with 4 of their extremely talented resident choreographers during the period as well. Throughout this entire period, both parties learnt many valuable lessons regarding friendship, discipline and self-awareness through the rehearsals and interactions with one another. This trip was an eye opener as we were able to experience the culture in Indonesia that is vastly different from what we have here in Singapore. As all good things must come to an end, we parted ways with heavy hearts but high spirits; eager to put into practice all we have learnt in our daily interactions with others.
We would like to thank ACS Jakarta, especially Mr Ng, for taking such good care of us everyday and providing us with the most comfortable stay! We would also like to thank our teachers for devoting their time and accompanying us on this memorable journey! And last but not least, to the college for giving us this wonderful opportunity to travel and learn life long lessons.
To God Be The Glory, The Best Is Yet To Be!
