The Methodist Walk is a biennial event organised by the Methodist Schools' Foundation to raise funds  for all the Methodist schools in Singapore .These funds are for the purpose of maintaining school facilities. This year's Methodist Walk was held on the 28th of March, 2015. However, in remembrance of the passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, the Methodist Walk took on the role of a Memorial Walk. This was a collective gesture to mark our respect for Mr Lee Kuan Yew and also to join the nation in a period of mourning.

At 6.30 a.m., ACJC students gathered at Oldham Wing before making their way to ACS(I). There, ACJC students, along with representatives of the other 14 Methodist schools in Singapore, gathered at the field for a short briefing and introduction to the Methodist Walk. A pastor from the Wesley Methodist Church led us in singing 4 songs, including Let The Flame Burn Brighter. The Guest of Honour, Ms Sim Ann, shared about Mr. Lee's vision and his contributions to Singapore's education system. We also maintained a moment of silence to remember the late Mr. Lee. There was more sharing by other guests before the singing of the Methodist Schools Foundation's anthem.

We then headed out of ACS(I) towards Singapore Polytechnic and walked along the road where St John's-St Margaret's Anglican Church was located at. Along the way, we saw buses displaying banners that read , "In memory of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, 1923 - 2015".  It was a sad and solemn message for all. Past Singapore Polytechnic, the route of the Memorial Walk continued past New Town Secondary School, and back to ACS(I).

At the end of the memorial Walk, the participants were given refreshment.Milo was provided from Milo trucks and volunteers handed out ice-cream.  Each participant also received a box of pastry from Polar Bakery.
