House Allocation and House System

The introduction of the House system in 1930 in ACS continues today in ACJC. With 8 Houses, the Inter-House competitions seek to encourage participation in sports and physical activities.

These competitions include the Annual College Cross-Country, Track & Field Meet, as well as the Swimming Meet. In 2010, students can look forward to a new format of inter-house activities ranging from competitive games to selected track and field events.

Students are allocated to the 8 different Houses based on the last 2 digits of their NRIC number. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in Inter-House activities, promoting strong school spirit and continuing the tradition of a sporting culture within the ACS family of schools.
